🌸 Perfume Notes — The 3 Main Layers

Perfume is structured like a musical chord: it has three layers that appear over time after you spray it.

1. Top Notes (First)

• This is what you smell immediately after spraying.

• They are usually light and fresh.

• They evaporate quickly (within a few minutes).

• Examples: citrus (orange, bergamot), light fruits (berry), herbs (mint).

2. Heart (Middle) Notes

• These appear after the top notes fade.

• They form the core character of the perfume.

• They last longer than top notes (about 20 minutes to an hour+).

3. Base Notes

• These are the longest-lasting and deepest notes.

• They appear once the heart notes settle.

• They give depth, richness & longevity.
